Ramazanul-Mubarak ki Barakat

August 29, 2009 By: Mohammad Rafique Etsame Category: Current Islamic Articles

Of the endless blessings of Ramazan, the most prominent is Laila-tul-Qadr, commonly known as the Ramazan Night. It falls in one of the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramazan and is generally regarded as the 27th.
It is the night on which the Holy Quran’s revelation commenced. Almighty Allah Says in the Holy Quran,” Lo! We revealed it (the Quran) on the night of Power…The night of Power is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Sprit (the Gabriel A.S.) descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. (That night is ) peace until the rising of the dawn.”(Al-Qadr:30).
Ummah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was awarded special compensation considering one night’s worship equal to one thousand months. (Tafseer Haqqane).
Hazrat Anas (R.A) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) that when ‘Laila-tul-Qadr’ falls, Hazrat Gibriel (A.S) descends in the company of other angels. They invoke the bounty and salvation of Allah for those who are busy in prayer, sitting or standing. When the Eid day falls, the angels are filled with envy of believers forbearance, and piety and their reward they are going to achieve. Allah Almighty asks the angels what should be the reward for the laborers having paid their duty completely? The angels submit that their recompense is: that their wages should completely be paid.
Allah Says that His believers have paid their duty and now are asking for salvation, which is granted therein.(Bokhari, Muslim).
These are the glimpses of the blessings of the Ramazan Night. In fact, God showers His bounty on the believers the hole night.

How Do Muslims Treat the Elderly?

August 18, 2009 By: Mohammad Rafique Etsame Category: Current Islamic Articles

In the Islamic world, one rarely finds “old people’s homes.” The strain of caring for one’s parents in this most difficult time of their lives is considered an honor and a blessing and an opportunity for great spiritual growth.  In Islam, it is not enough that we only pray for our parents, but we should act with limitless compassion, remembering that when we were helpless children, they preferred us to themselves.  Mothers are particularly honored.  When Muslim parents reach old age, they are treated mercifully, with kindness and selflessness.

In Islam, serving one’s parents is a duty second to prayer, and it is their right to expect it.  It is considered despicable to express any irritation when, through no fault of their own, the old become difficult.

God has said:

Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to your parents.  If one of them or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them a word of disrespect, or scold them, but say a generous word to them.  And act humbly to them in mercy, and say, “My Lord, have mercy on them, since they cared for me when I was small.”  (Quran, 17:23-24)

Limited and Unlimited

Limited & unlimited

By M.R.E.
Everything is limited in this universe, only Allah-Almighty is above all the limits and is the Eternal and unlimited, and when anything from the creation crosses its limit, it loses its life and meets to an end.
Limit means here two things i.e. limit of the body and limit of its safety and well-being.
Limit of the body means a design or a map of anything, due to it, it comes into being and visible. Because everything is designed first and then is created or invented. And limit of its safety and well-being means that; everything is made or created for a special purpose. If it reaches its goal, then its limit of body will be safe and stands firm, and if it does not so, Then it means that this thing has crossed its limit and opposed it. Then the result is: its design becomes damage and expires. Now
I come to the point, human being is also created for a special purpose i.e. to worship of Allah Al-Mighty as mentioned in the Holy Quran,”O mankind! Worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that ye may ward off (evil)(TheCow:21)
So, worship is a limit of his safety and well-being . If he keeps bound himself within this limit, then he will be safe and sound and will be given the best rewarded at the Day of Judgment as the Holy Quran reveals,
“These are the limits (imposed by) Allah. Whoso obeyeth Allah and His messenger, He will make him inter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where such will dwell for ever. That will be the great success.” (An-Nisa:13)
Also Says,” Such are the limits (imposed by) Allah; and whoso transgresseth Allah’s limits, he verily wrongeth his soul.” (At- Talaq:1)
It means that if the mankind transgresses any limit imposed by of Allah, then he will be punished at the Day of Resurrection. The Holy Quran reveals,” The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feat. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? This is Hell which they go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water.” (The Beneficient: 45)
In the Hell, the bodies of the guilty will be damaged and ill-made.
This is the punishment of those who oppose their limits and disobey the orders of Allah, and they who are obedience and surrender themselves, what will they gain? The Holy Quran reveals as:-
“But for him who fearth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Of spreading branches.Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Wherein are two fountains flowing. And which is it of the favours of your lord, ye deny?
Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
Reclining upon coaches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both gardens near hand. Which is it of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
There are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them. Which is it of the favours of your Lord that ye deny?
(In beauty) like the jacinth and the coral-stone. Which is it of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
In the reward of goodness aught save goodness? Wihch is it, of the favours of your Lord , that ye deny? (The Beneficent:60)
So, it is the need of time to keep everyone bound himself under the limits of Allah so that he may get a good reward at the Day of Judgment.

Ramazan-ul-Mubarak,A Month of endless blessings

August 13, 2009 By: Mohammad Rafique Etsame Category: Current Islamic Articles

Ramazan-ul-Mubarak is a most sacred and  holy month of the Muslim calendar. It brings good fortune and endless blessings of Allah Almighty. It is a month of forbearance that’s rewards is only Heaven. (Sahih Bokhari, Muslim) Act of  fasting was prescribed in all the Shriah of the Holy Prophets (May peace and Mercy of Allah be upon them)  and its main purpose is to make  Muslims pious and God-fearing as mentioned in the Holy Qura,n “O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, even as it was prescribed for those before you, that ye may ward off (evil),(The Cow: 183). Salmān (R.A.) reports: ‘On the last day of Shaʿbān, the Messenger of Allah (upon him blessings and peace) addressed us and said: “O People, there comes upon you now a great month, a most blessed month, in which lies a night greater in worth than one thousand months. It is a month in which Allah has made compulsory that the fasting should be observed by day; and He has made the tarāwīḥ by night a sunnah. Whosoever tries drawing nearer to Allāh by performing any virtuous deed in this month, for him shall be such reward as if he had performed a farḍ (obligatory observance) in any other time of the year. And whoever performs a farḍ for him shall be the reward of seventy farḍ in any other time of the year. This is indeed the month of patience, and the reward for true patience is Jannah (Paradise); it is the month of sympathy with one’s fellowmen; it is the month wherein a true believer’s rizq (sustenance) is increased. Whosoever feeds a fasting person in order to break the fast (at sunset), for him there shall be forgiveness of his sins and emancipation from the fire of Jahannam (Hell), and for him shall be the same reward as for him (whom he fed), without that person’s reward being diminished in the least.” (Mishkat-ul-Masabeeh)
(MThe Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that the first ten days of Ramazan-nul-Mubarak are for the bounty of Allah , second ten days are for the forgiveness, and the last ten days declare the salvation from  Hell  to those who keep fasting. (Bokhari, Mishkat-ul-Masabeeh )
He (PBUH) said that the former sins of the believers are forgiven  who keep fasting with faith and a sense of accountability. And when the first night of Ramazan falls, an  announcement made on behalf of Allah the most high that He Loves him who loves He and He meets him who try to meet He, and Allah will forgive him who seeks forgiveness. Then Allah Orders the twain recording angels to write only good and not to write evils and to rub off their former sins .(Zubda-tul-Waizeen)
A distinctive feature of Ramazan is that the Holy Qur’an was revealed in this month from the “Lauh-e-Mahfooz” to the first sky. Whence, it was revealed on the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during the period of 23 years as the need of the time. Allah Almighty Orddains,” The month of Ramazan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance and the criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, (let him fast the same) number of other days. (The Cow:185)
Qur’an is an authentic source of Islamic dogmas, worships, affairs and lays the foundation stone of Islamic legislation. It reveals an abridged outline for individual and social life and guides to all aspects of life as principles. Recitation of the Holy Qur’an gives the mental and spiritual peace and tranquility.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that when the month of Ramazan falls all of the evil design Satan and Jinns  tightened in the chains and doors of Hell closed, and a voice from the Heaven calls “O ye who committing evils stop yourself !and O the well wisher! Increase yourself in virtues. And a large number of the people deserving  for Hell, are  Freed every night. (Tirmadhi, Nasai, Ibn-e-Maja)Ramazan-nul-Mubarak is about to fall,  So We should count for such a blessed month and keep fasting.
